Daintree Networks a GoingGreen Global 200 Winner

Daintree Networks, Inc, a provider of wireless lighting control solutions for intelligent buildings, has been chosen by US based AlwaysOn as one of the GoingGreen Global 200 winners.

AlwaysOn said inclusion in the GoingGreen Global 200 signifies leadership and game-changing approaches and technologies that are likely to disrupt existing markets and entrenched players.

Daintree Networks was selected on five criteria: innovation, market potential, commercialization, stakeholder value, and media buzz. "With the industry's first standards-based, wireless platform for lighting, Daintree makes saving energy in commercial buildings simpler, lower-cost and more intelligent," said AlwaysOn.

"The company's innovative solution, ControlScope, uses powerful software and wireless networking to automatically control lighting and other energy loads, saving up to 70 per cent of an enterprise's lighting energy costs while providing facilities with comprehensive energy management and smart grid tools."

Daintree Networks is funded by Australian venture capitalists Lend Lease Ventures and Jolimont Capital.

Tony Perkins, founder and editor of AlwaysOn, said "Picking this year's GoingGreen Global 200 was a very competitive process, as literally dozens of great greentech companies are emerging out of the pack, raising big money, and gaining significant market traction.

"This year's winners clearly represent some of the highest-growth opportunities we've seen in the private company marketplace and underscore that many of the greentech sectors VCs have been betting on are booming."

The GoingGreen Global 200 winners were selected from among thousands of domestic and international green technology companies nominated by investors, bankers, journalists, and greentech industry insiders.
