CleverGreen Partnering Program Grants Open

The South Australian Department of Trade and Economic Development's has opened Round 5 of the CleverGreen Partnering Grants Program, which is designed to help small and medium enterprises take new cleantech products, processes and services from conception and early stage development through to market.

The program has two components - CleverGreen Innovation Grants and CleverGreen Commercialisation Grants.

The CleverGreen Innovation Grants provide financial assistance for early proof-of-concept and commercial viability testing for applicants intending to commercialize cleantech products, processes and services. The maximum grant is $50,000.

The CleverGreen Commercialisation Grant is for up to $100,000 on a matched funding basis for commercialization activities.

Applicants are linked to one of the following program partners - Adelaide Research & Innovation, Flinders Partners, ITEK, Cleantech Ventures, or Trans Tasman Commercialisation Fund.

Expressions of interest close on 1 January 2012. Applicants commence by submitting an Expression of Interest to Innovate SA, which is providing mentoring, business advisory and product development services to applicants.

The CleverGreen Innovation Grants and CleverGreen Commercialisation Grants are part of the Cleantech Partnering Program, a $2.15 million grant program over three years from 2010-11. The program helps small and medium sized enterprises take new cleantech products, processes and services from conception and early stage development through to market.

Funding under Round 6 will see Expressions of Interest close on 1 April 2012.
