ZEN Win For Sustainable Growth

Adelaide's largest solar energy company, ZEN Energy Systems, won the BDO Sustained Growth Award at the 2011 In-Business Fast Movers awards.

ZEN has recorded 336 per cent average growth over the past three years. It has now taken out the title of fastest growing business in South Australia in 2010 and 2011. The company has gone from start-up to being one of the largest solar energy companies in Australia in six years. Last year it was named by BRW as Australia's seventh fastest growing company.

ZEN founder and chief executive officer Richard Turner said "To win an award not just for strong growth, but even more importantly sustainable growth, is a fantastic achievement for the entire ZEN team. ZEN continues to expand but we are very careful to do this in a strategic fashion and without compromising our total commitment to quality.

"With energy prices expected to escalate, we see solar becoming an even more compelling investment for householders and commercial businesses across Australia. We have a globally experienced board and senior management strength and the long-term outlook for ZEN is very positive.

"We've recently been appointed as the solar home energy systems project partner for a Community Solar Hubs Program in north east Victoria and have some other very exciting announcements in the wings for 2012."

Established in Adelaide in 2004, ZEN says it is Australia's first fully branded and integrated solar grid connect home energy system provider. It has over 100 staff and a network of 250 installers and regional franchisees around the country.
