Cleantech Capability Teams

The inaugural chairs and the dates for the first public meetings of the Cleantech Capability Teams have been announced by Government.

The chairs are:

* Cleantech for the Built Environment and Infrastructure - Victoria Rose, Sustainability Director, Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG)

* Cleantech for Food and Beverage Production and Processing - Mike Duggan, Manager Sustainability, EC3 Global

* Cleantech for Manufacturing - Dexter Clarke, General Manager Cleantech, Futuris Automotive

* Cleantech for Mining/ Resource and Minerals Processing - Jurgen Schneider, Regional General Manager, Siemens

* Cleantech for Developing Countries — to be advised.

The inaugural chairs will hold these positions until each team elects its own chair and vice-chair within six months of commencement. The teams may chose to re-elect the inaugural chair.

The first meetings for the Cleantech for Built Environment and Infrastructure team and also for the Cleantech for Food and Beverage Production and Processing team will be held on 7 March in Sydney.

The meeting for Cleantech for Developing Countries is on 8 March, also in Sydney.

The meeting for Cleantech for Manufacturing and for Cleantech for Mining/Resource and Minerals Processing is on 9 March in Melbourne.

Membership is free and open to any Australian-based cleantech related company or organization.

Cleantech companies that become involved will have the opportunity to build national collaborative relationships and increase their sales to target customers in Australia and potentially internationally. Each of the five teams will decide its own priorities. These might include: joint marketing initiatives, joint customer presentations, customer education programs, and international marketing.
